Embassy of Sri Lanka in the Russian Federation conducts a mobile consular service in Belarus

The Embassy of Sri Lanka in the Russian Federation, concurrently accredited to the Republic of Belarus, successfully conducted its first-ever mobile consular service on 26 June 2026 in Belarus. The initiative was organized to attest degree certificates of Sri Lankan medical graduates who recently graduated from Grodno State Medical University and Gomel State Medical University. This year, more than 220 Sri Lankan medical students graduated from these two universities.

The mobile consular service was conducted as a direct outcome of the recent official visit undertaken by the Hon. Vijitha Herath, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Foreign Employment and Tourism to Belarus on 12 May 2026.

Mihiravi Dissanayake, Counsellor, and Polina Aleksandrovna, Consular Assistant, represented the Embassy to provide onsite service.
